Hey Everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! Just wanted to remind you all that this Thursday, May 6, is the National Day of Prayer.
Here is the link to the site, which gives great ideas on how to get involved, what to pray for, etc.: http://nationaldayofprayer.org/
Lots going on this day, so hopefully we can all be involved in someway, even if it is just praying at home, at work, in the car, with friends, . . .
We have been studying Revelation during Sunday night Bible study (A Vision of His Glory by Anne Graham Lotz-awsome!!!!) and last night we were talking about the golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints in Chapter 5 (Verse 8).
Are you comforted knowing that God not only hears prayers, he collects them? He has collected the prayers of His people for generations and generations and continues to gather ours this very day?!
So fitting for this week- Thank You Jesus for that blessing @ Bible study!
God promises in Psalm 32:8-
"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go, I will guide you with My eye." In a world that is caught up in financial security, freedom of choice, speech, freedom to do whatever one desires - all the things of this world: would you pray for your nation? Your President? Your local leaders? Your community- schools, churches . . That they/we seek God's guidance and direction and follow His leadership.
I pray that you have a blessed time in prayer Thursday!

Blessings
This past Saturday was such an amazing day. Me, my mom and my good friend Sandy had the opportunity to visit the newly renovated Billy Graham Library in Charlotte.
If you every have the opportunity to go ... GO! It is such a peaceful, anointed place- a time I spent reflecting on the ministry of a true disciple of our Lord, and all that God has accomplished through him. It's beyond measure!

"For you were bought at a price. ." 1 Corinthians 6:20
Beautiful Prayer Garden

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
Matthew 11:28
What is God accomplishing through you? I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

The Intimidator
We had a great weekend! Very busy, but so much fun! I hope all of you had a great weekend as well- filled with family, friends, fun, rest and blessings!
I have not been to Carowinds in quite sometime. Jason and I went with some friends a few years back, but before then- I think I was like 12. We made plans to go with my aunt and uncle and their 2 boys, because the boys had never been. My brother and his girlfriend, Clary, went also and we had the best time! The weather was perfect and the company was even better.
The highlight of the trip for the rollercoaster riders (no, I'm not one of them!) was the new "coaster"- The Intimidator. Everyone said it was a great ride- I'll have to take their word for it!
Gracie kept my Mom and Dad company all afternoon- I know they had a fun time with her!
Here are a few pictures of our day-

Gracie- finally home & about ready for bedtime!

The Submissive Wife
"Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything." Ephesians 5:24 (NIV)
I am learning to be a submissive wife. My Lord knows my efforts!
Jason occasionally asks me to ride 9 holes of golf with him. Not very often, though, because he knows that I will more than likely be a bigger distraction than just an enjoyable ride along. Maybe that's why he never asks me to ride 18. Anyway, I really wanted to go with him this past Tuesday .. the weather was way to beautiful and I wanted to spend some quality time with my husband watching him play the game he loves most (behind baseball of course).
You know, golf is such a quiet sport. As a talker, its so hard for me to just observe! Jason would tell you I didn't do a good job! But, I did the best I could. Here are a few shots, as I was "observing" (as quietly as possible)- haha

This tree was really beautiful . . .

I would have cheered, but, respectfully remained silent . .

....Great end to a great evening!

Maybe I will learn to play?! ...

Hello BloggerWorld! Wow, I can't believe I am finally ready to post! I have been working on creating my page for 2 days now..fun! Thank you Loren, for all your help!
So excited to finally be blogging! I have friends/organizations that I follow a good bit, so I am happy to be in the mix! Once Jason gets the hang of it, I think he will like it too!
