True Story

1. Still miserable when I woke up this morning, I had to break down and go to the doctor.
2. My throat has not hurt this bad since the last time I remember having strep. I feel like there are razors at the back of my throat.
3. I have blown my nose so much in the last 48 hours, all the green is gone and everything is clear.
4. My doctor is awesome and could see me at the exact time I needed. After being home yesterday, I figure I am going to be just as miserable at work, so I might as well go get something done.
5. I am a germophobe, so actually going to the doctor's office makes me extremely apprehensive.
6. In reference to #5, I have a few little tricks that I think help me: I try to grab the door handle in a spot where I think the least amount of people have touched, I use my own pen to sign in and fill out paperwork, I don't put my pocketbook on the ground and I sanitize at least twice.
7. In reference to #'s 1-3 I have a bad sinus infection.
8. I have medicine now :)
9. In reference to #6, I do realize how absolutely ridiculous this sounds, even more so in actual print.
10. My next post won't contain a numbered list . . hopefully!

Happy Hump Day!

Numbered Update

1. There are a couple of sure fire ways to be late to work in the mornings. The following pictures are 2 of them.

2. This past weekend we had a cookout at our house. We had Jason's parents', his sister Anna and her family and my mom and dad. It was also Anna's birthday, so I had to pick up a few goodies. In addition, my mother-in-law makes the BEST cherry desert that Jason loves, so she brought that also. Everything was great!

3. Our friends Jonathan and Lindsey were on their way down to eat in Gaffney Saturday night as well. They love burgers and hot dogs and all the trimmings like we do, so we made them come to our house - I had not seen Josie in weeks! She also got to meet one of her potential future boyfriends! Jude, my nephew, is on the left and Josie is on the right. Love these 2 and their mamas and daddies! We had a great time visiting!

4. Here is where I have found myself all day today. Mercy, I am having a time. I am hoping tomorrow is a better day.

Easter Weekend

We had such an awesome weekend!

Saturday we spent with Jason's family for an early Easter lunch. We got in alot of time with this little guy!

I could eat him up! We took Gracie to let her be around him and see how she would do. It was so funny. She would act so hyper and crazy until she got around him. For instance, he had the hiccups. Every time he would hiccup she would come stand over him to check on things. Also, I was burping him one time and she did not like me tapping his back. She would just come and stand on her back legs and rest her front ones on my knees. It was so sweet. We just wanted to make sure she could be calm around babies in case one day she has alittle brother or sister :) ha!

After we got home, we decided to tackle a project I have been requesting of Jason for a year now . . .

I LOVE hammocks and can not wait to get in our new one every day! I have the best memories as a child of climbing up in one with my grandpa every Sunday afternoon for a nap. I think this one will see many naps ;)

Easter Sunday we spent at church and with my mom and dad. Our service was awesome. A beautiful day to celebrate our Risen Lord and Savior! My mama still fills our Easter basket with goodies.

The cadbury eggs are my favorite!! Of all time! I was opening the box and accidentally dropped one. Well . . before it even hit the ground Gracie had it and was gone. I did manage to wrestle it out of her mouth, paper and all!

(Ignore my AWFUL manicure! I had picked my already chipping polish off)

We watched the M*sters all afternoon! I was so excited that my top three finished in the top 16 with my favorite winning! He and his wife have such a great testimony.

Hope your weekend was as spectacular as ours!

Hump Day

This is my favorite week of the year!

Foremost, because it is Holy Week. Just love spending lots of time meditating and praying through this week. I don't think I will ever be able to comprehend all if it this side of heaven- I don't know that I am supposed to? I stay in a constant state of awe. So much is on my heart this week. The Lord is helping me sift through it, little by little. I am learning Him more . . deeper. So amazing!

The other great part of this week is

it's Masters Week! I have never been too much of a golf follower, but my husband is. Therefore, by default, I have developed alittle bit of an interest. I always love watching regardless because I think the course is one of the most beautiful sites in the world. It is truly impeccable. Jason likes Rory and I like Bubba and Hunter (and Ian, but strictly for his sense of style!) . . I think we have a good shot at one of the 4 winning! We will see.

Speaking of Easter- Finally we can all comfortably wear white after Sunday! This year in particular, I have been so tempted to pull those white pants out prior to Easter. I just couldn't pull the trigger and feel good about myself. I have seen lots of people in white, and that is fine for them, but I just can't do it safely until after Easter. I have been on a linen pants wearing kick this week. Like, everyday. They feel like my pj's!

I tried to upload some pictures of our new baby nephew, after we spent Sunday with him and the rest of our family, but for some reason the pictures do not cooperate on this particular computer. I will try again later. We are so in love with him! He has certainly stolen all of our hearts!!

Enjoy Your Hump Day!
