Distracted!

I hate to be distracted! I hate I have been distracted from updating this blog for over a week. I do have at least one good excuse-

We have been watching South Carolina win the CWS! Go Gamecocks!

(Photo from The State Newspaper)

What a great series! Beating our in state rival, Clemson, TWICE was great. Winning last night in extra innings for the title was even better! It was a late night for us, but so worth it. I wish I would have gotten a picture of Gracie- she was pitifully tired. I think we all are pretty worn out after a week of late night baseball. Congrats Gamecocks!

We get one night off, and then tomorrow .. the long anticipated .. ECLIPSE! Can't hardly wait! We are going with my brother and his girlfriend, Clary. My brother is the only one who has not read all of the books, which I really don't understand? My husband has read them for goodness sakes! (All of them.) He is not exactly .. how do I put this .. the "reading type"?! He would way rather be on the golf course or in a fishing boat- or, as of late, at my dad's shop cheering on the Gamecocks!

{Total side note- I am happy to announce that Jason is now an official fan of the real Carolina team- South Carolina! As you may know, Jason is from North Carolina and loves the Tarheels. We loved watching them play a couple of years ago in the CWS, and even had friends who played on the team at that time. But, he has come to his senses! There is no Carolina but South Carolina!}

So, back to Eclipse- I hope it is comparable to the book. I have read/heard it was, but books are always better to me. We will see!

Hot Monday

Temperature in my car at lunch:

It's hot today ya'll. It is a beautiful sunny day though! I just wish I was on a nice sandy beach somewhere watching the waves roll in. Hurry up vacation! Until then- work, work and more work! It's alright though- just makes vacation time that much more sweeter!

My day has been one filled with multi-colored highlighters. I love highlighters. I love organizing. I love lists. I LOVE pens. I have a million! Do you know, though, that every time I go to any store pens are what I always look for?! I promise you that I have every kind. I have tried every kind. I have my favorites, but I always think there is something better, newer! Ah- what was the point of this post again? . . .

There really is not one, other than to say that it is hot outside! Oh, AND to thank my Mama for the wonderful lunch she fixed for me today.

Cubed Steak, Mac & Cheese, Rice & Gravy and Homemade Biscuit

The best part about my Mama being a school teacher- summers off! She spoils us to no end every summer. No complaints here, though!

We are a blessed family.

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day! I want to especially wish my dad and father-in-law a happy day! Both of you mean the world to Jason and I, and we love you!!

We celebrated last night with my dad and family with a trip to Kellys. It was delicious- as usual! Here are a few pics we snapped before we left-

After church today, we met Jason's family at a little restaurant outside of Boiling Springs, NC for lunch. It was great! A meat and 2- chicken pie, squash casserole and mac and cheese for me! It was really good. The building was really neat too. We had a great time visiting with them!

We have had a great day so far! The only thing that could make it any better is if Carolina was not in a rain delay right now in Omaha and on TV! I hope you all have a great day spending time with the ones you love!

MakeOver!

It's been awhile! As you can see, I have an awesome new look- big thank you to Erin at Designer Blogs for creating this for me. I love it!

We have been so busy- hence no updates! I am going to do better. I thought as summer started things would slow down for us, but we have had alot going on! Our vacation is just around the corner, so we are all looking forward to that.

So what exactly has been going on? Well, since you asked- 3 weddings since April (2 more to go by October!), vacation Bible school at church, a girls trip with my mom, aunt and grandma to Savannah (great time- I will post pictures soon), work stuff, finishing up year one of my Biblical counseling class (I will do a separate post on that later- I can't wait to share all I have learned just this year!), a Thirty One party at my house just this week (By the way girls, the bags are great! I will post some information on that later also!) . . . I am leaving out alot of other things that are really not as interesting!

I hope you all have had a great summer so far!
